We usually see your child in your own home. Children tend to be most relaxed at home and this gives the most accurate assessment and effective treatment session. In some cases we can see your child in a different location, please contact us to discuss.
We work very closely with the child and family to identify the childs unique problem areas and develop goals and a treatment plan together. This will be done during the first assessment session.
Assessment will involve talking through the childs history and previous / ongoing treatment. Followed by looking in depth at the childs current physical abilities.
Treatment will be specific to each child, it may include therapy based play sessions and exercise prescription, we endevour to make sessions as fun as possible, disguising the therapy as play.
Our expections are that parents support the therapy process by providing the most up to date information regarding your childs condition, informing us of any changes and following any agreed exercise plan if appropriate for your child.
We treat children that are not seeing any other health care professional, that are waiting for NHS care or currently having NHS treatment; to complement therapy. We will work closely with any other medical professionals that treats your child, discussing treatment and plans when required, enhancing the care already provided.
